The Swindon Branch is one of twelve which make up the Gloucester and Bristol Association and was formed in 1911.  It has 21 towers, 20 of which are ringable, and a healthy membership of more than 100 ringers.

***the Swindon branch is actively seeking new ringers in many of its towers. If you are interested in learning to ring please go to the Learning to ring in Swindon page or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.***

There are various Branch Practices throughout the year, encouraging the development of all ringers, either in conjunction with the Association, or organised by the branch, supporting different aspects of ringing. This may take the form of assistance to individual towers, workshops for developing skills and methods, or advanced  practices to encourage individual progression. These Practices may be mid-week or sometimes on Saturdays.

We hold an annual Branch Striking Competition, and have an outing at Christmas. In addition, the Branch participates in Association activities, providing a band for the annual Association 6 bell (Croome Trophy) and 8 bell (Penn Trophy) striking competitions, as well as encouraging young ringers to join in activities arranged within the Association.

The Swindon Branch Committee is always keen to receive feedback on what activities its ringers would find most helpful and enjoyable.  Further information about the branch and its activities can be obtained by contacting the Branch Secretary.
